Since I still couldn't see the center yo, I took my sample into Yarn and Yoga in Bristol, VT. The wonderful employee agreed that I should go up another size, but to confirm ask a small group of well-established knitters in a class their opinion. All but one, who hesitantly encouraged me to consider going up two more sizes, which at the time seemed like too much. I wasn't sure what I had with me, so I added size 6 circular needles to my inventory and stitched for a few rows before I tried size 7. She was right! The right balance without becoming too lazy and easier to ktbl. For myself, this has given a rather tight appearance. I noticed one photo that says they used a size 7 needle and it appears more loose, open and lace like. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to make this pattern appear more delicate?
